That is exactly why CGS Nexus Academy exists — a space dedicated to growth, where experienced colleagues become the most valuable source of learning for those around them.
The Mentorship Program started 12 years ago as a pilot project and has gradually expanded to a national and even international level, including the participation of all levels and positions from within the company.
The program is a real opportunity for direct learning, where an experienced colleague (mentor) becomes a guide for a junior or mid-level employee (mentee).
Why is mentorship so valuable?
In a company that is constantly expanding, learning from the best is a major advantage. Many colleagues want to gain knowledge directly from some of the company’s most respected professionals — and this program offers exactly that opportunity.
A good mentor does more than share information and experiences. They provide real support, remain available at regular intervals for any type of question, analyze complex situations together with the mentee, and suggest alternatives. Over time, this model improves with each generation of participants, helping strengthen a genuine culture of learning and collaboration.
The recipe for success lies in identifying the best practices within the company and passing them on through the voices of those who have experienced them — colleagues with experience and seniority who can explain, from personal examples, what no presentation can fully capture.

Alexandru Danciu – mentee
“I believe the mentorship program within CGS Nexus Romania helped shape my perspective even before starting the planning sessions. I believe that gaining a deeper understanding of the discussed topics through the mentor’s perspective helped improve certain aspects of the day-to-day job — and even of everyday life. A mentee is in a learning process, but at the same time can pass key information to the mentor, so both of us became better at interacting with different levels of management. My mentorship experience was exactly what I had hoped for — open discussions and the chance to explore questions I didn’t fully understand at the time. Over time, I came to understand why some things unfolded differently from what I had envisioned, and why certain changes, even if they weren’t what I initially thought was right, weren’t necessarily wrong — just happening at the right moment.”

“My experience in the mentorship program was a special one, largely thanks to my mentor, Vasile Badiu. My initial expectations were different, and the program pleasantly surprised me, proving that it is much more than a simple formality. We had the opportunity to engage in valuable discussions where we debated ideas and learned from someone who truly has the knowledge needed to guide and offer useful perspectives. I completed this program with far more knowledge than I had before and with the ability to approach different situations much more effectively. For that, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to participate — both as a mentee and, in turn, as a mentor.”

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the opportunity to participate in this program. Although I mentioned in my letter of intent that I did not consider myself as ‘colorful’ as my mentor, Cătălina managed to bring color into my perception of the role I hold and the opportunities ahead of me. At the beginning of the program, I was going through a period of burnout and found it difficult to find the balance and motivation I needed. Through her guidance, the right questions, and constant support, I was able to recalibrate, regain my confidence, and reconnect with my professional purpose. I am grateful for the leadership skills I developed — the perspectives on communication, influence, and decision-making changed the way I approach challenges. The lessons I learned will stay with me in everything I do.”
